Well, here I am. I've finally graduated from Army Advanced Individual Training. According to the military, I am now qualified to drive a bunch of really expensive vehicles. Whether I actually can is a matter of perspective, since six weeks of AIT didn't feel nearly long enough to leave me feeling qualified for such a thing. I'm on leave at the moment, so I get to take a few days to chill, relax, and wait for my mid-month paycheck. On the eighteenth, I drive back down to St. Louis, Missouri so I can begin the long series of flights to Baumholder, Germany. Hooah.

So here I am again, this time with Windows tablet and a mobile hotspot. I'm three weeks into AIT, with graduation dated May 7th. Last week we were given our first duty stations. I rolled into the Army expecting somewhere boring, like Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Sill, or fucking Camp Dodge in my home state of Iowa. Nope As it turns out, the Army is sending me Germany for two years. One of the cushiest duty stations available, and they're giving it to an E2. Germany. Hooah.
